Scoring

Summary:
  • Kids did phenomenal, in the performance, and overall!
  • For performance, Bryce lined up and set programs, Evan was helper (attachments, etc.), Katie yelled out next missions
  • kicked butt, came in 3rd place in performance (out of 16 teams, mostly older kids)
  • Teamwork judged very good
  • Project judged very good
  • despite rock solid performance, robot design was judged too simple
    (people judging robot design never saw performance, assumed it would not be good... they were wrong!)
  • letter sent off to try to figure some of this out
  • State 1st round results were low compared to Nanodudes performance. Prior year is interesting as well.
